Meet Shyla
Roughly three years ago we rescued a sweet but shy girl from a parking lot in Easley. She was young, scared and covered in scabs and fleas. And after a short time in our care, we found a wonderful foster home that eventually turned into a forever home for our sweet Shyla. During her time in her forever home, Shyla battled a skin condition of unknown origin. And after 3 years of continued effort, her adoptive family was between two options: euthanasia or surrender her back into our care. So we took Shyla back and got her into our vet ASAP. We aren't exactly sure what is causing her skin condition, but we seem to have to narrowed down to two things: a severe flea allergy or food allergies. Currently our girl is on medication and a prescription diet to help combat her condition, and the best news is, it is improving!! We feel confident enough in her progress that we would like to begin looking for a foster-to-adopt home for our sweet girl. There is SO much more to Shyla than her skin condition. She is a wonderful, snuggly girl that insists on helping you with everything you do. She loves to be a co-napper, a co-worker and everything in between. As she has started to feel better, she has become more playful and energetic, and her personality has begun to shine. We are looking for a home where Shyla will be the only cat, a home with experience giving cats medication, and a home within 30-45 minutes of Seneca, SC so that we can keep up on her follow-up appointments with our veterinarian. Shyla is as beautiful as she is sweet, and we know her perfect home is out there somewhere!
